OUR PROCESS
All of the parents have been genetic tested. All puppies will come up to date on vaccinations, dewormed for all internal parasites, have a physical examination completed by our veterinarian, and come with a two-year health guarantee against all genetic diseases. They will leave us with their shot record, baby blanket that smells like their mom, a familiar toy and a small bag of food.
Our puppies are born in our bedroom and remain there for 4 weeks. At that point we move them to a common area in our extra dining room. Our puppies are in constant contact with us and exposed to all types of different sounds and experience's to ensure they grow up to be very social, confident dogs.
At 6 weeks of age, we start working on house training and crate training! Most of our puppies are completely crate trained and predominately house trained by the time they are ready for their forever families! Of course, keeping up with a predictable routine and frequent trips outside will still be necessary, but we try our best to get them off on the right foot as early as possible.
Just like human babies, young puppies have weaker immune systems than older dogs. Per our vet’s advice, and in an effort to ensure the puppies we are sending home are as healthy as possible, we do not allow visitors until the puppies are vaccinated. The puppies receive their first round of vaccinations at 7 weeks. The next two rounds will be due 3-4 weeks apart. We strongly recommend that you limit your puppy’s exposure to places like Petco and dog parks until they receive all three puppy booster shots.
